Vanzetti’s Last Statement in Court (1927) Primary Source Analysis Activity

Primary Source Document – During the 1920’s, America experienced a backlash and fear of Communism called the Red Scare. Two Italian immigrants would be accused of murder and executed by the federal government. Many Americans feel that Sacco and Vanzetti were executed more for their radical political views than the weak circumstantial evidence of the murder trial. No doubt, America experienced a wave a anti-immigrants sentiments by Nativists groups of the era.
