Dred Scott Decision

Click on link to download the powerpoint. This powerpoint provides a brief description of Dred Scott v. Sanford (1856) which the Supreme Court ruled that slaves (property) could not petition the court, and that the Missouri Compromise and the Northwest Ordinance were unconstitutional (Congress did not have the authority to prohibit slavery.)
