Team Martinez visits the Field Museum in Chicago (2012)

         

“Sue” is the nickname given to FMNH PR 2081, which is the largest, most extensive and best preserved Tyrannosauras rex specimen ever found.

         

Lucy was discovered in 1974 in Ethiopia. Lucy is estimated to have lived 3.2 million years ago.

    Thanks for the awesome post about the Field Museum! I’ve volunteered and interned there for years and have given many mummification demonstrations, one of my favorite things to do at the museum!
