The One That Didn’t Get Away (photograph)

The year was 1987, some friends and I went deep-sea fishing out of North Miami Beach. We ended up hooking a Golden Hammerhead shark. This big fish took the combined efforts of each one of us, as Mr. Shark did not want to come along easily. After two hours, we succeeded in landing the large shark. We all had wobbling sore arms after the effort. The shark measuresd 9 feet 7 inches long, and just under 350 pounds.
