Team Martinez visits the Castillo de San Marcos (Ft. Marion), St. Augustine, Florida (photographs)

The Castillo de San Marcos began construction by the Spanish empire in 1672. The fort was to defend the harbor of St. Augustine, Florida.

Many Apaches, including Geronimo, were kept captive at Fort Marion.
